What is a blog? Rinaldo Lampis video clip
Tuesday, January 10, 2006Rinaldo Lampis, is an independent Italian blogger, covering news and issues related to health and to freedom of choice for consumers. He is part of my grassroots Communication Agents Initiative, in which individuals with a strong voice and an interest for covering news avoided by mainstream media get my full publishing support.
What I provide to Rinaldo, Sepp, Chris, Steve and the other Communication Agents, is a full blog publishing platform for free, hosting and bandwidth, and my on-going editorial support to make their voice have extra reach and visibility.
Here is what Rinaldo had to say (in English) about blogs and their role as indpendent news sources:
"A blog is a kind of internet device to communicate some information to everybody else who wants to listen to the information.Well, of course, to my mind because it’s immediate first of all and is more sincere because it’s just to communicate facts that nobody else does.
So I think it has a very important function, in communication, in new communication.
I hope they all become, I hope the whole population will look at blogs as the only form of information.
Then I suppose newspapers will remain, TV programs will remain but they are more biased towards powerful interests.
We have no powerful interests.
Our power is the truth.
