Thomas Washington: What is a blog?
Friday, November 25, 2005"What’s a weblog? Where people create their own space, I guess, and announce their ideas to anyone who is interested in reading them. I would say it’s like you’re writing a book but you don’t have to go to a publisher. You can express your ideas and anyone in the world, on the World Wide Web, can discover your ideas, and either accept or reject them, based on how they feel. It’s your opportunity to comment on the world we live in and the state of affairs.
The main media has become very much enamored of their own opinion, and they wish to, uh, not force, but direct the public that they contact in their own way of thinking which is not necessarly a good thing.
They no longer present the facts without a bias. If someone is totally reliant upon the major media, they are going to get a different view of what is reality.
