What is a blog? New sponsors for TheweblogProject video clip

Tuesday, May 3, 2005

A couple of great new sponsors have recently joined the ranks of TheWeblogProject and will be contributing services, visibility and endorsement to the TheweblogProject initiative. I am proud to briefly introduce them here as you may find some of them useful and complementary to your publishing, communication and blog-related needs.

Prodigem, which provides a non-technical online service to distribute large media files online while using the extremely effective BitTorrent protocol. You don't have to worry anymore about storage space and bandwidth costs: Prodigem does it for you. But even more interesting is the new offering that Gary Lerhaupt (a Stanford graduate student) has made available recently and which allows artists and independent authors to easily host their large media video (or music) files and sell them at any desired price. Prodigem Marketplace, the name of this new offering, picks up a 10-15% commission on every transaction while leaving the independent video maker unencumbered by storage, hosting, bandwidth and distribution issues. Go give it a look.

PresenterNet is a unique online service providing effective delivery of online presentations with high quality, low-cost, and cross-browser/platform compatibility. Not only, PresenterNet is the only live online presentation solution that integrates interactive slides that can be used to collect live data from any number of viewers. If you have a Powerpoint presentation and want to deliver it live to an online audience, PresenterNet offers great quality and service. I have myself used it both times with extreme satisfaction in conjunction with iVocalize (which provides great VoIP conferencing and text chat) when delivering the last two live press conferences from San Francisco and Rome. A free try-out is immediately available here. Recommended.
