A blog is a... uhm... sort of an online diary where people can post their thoughts, their ideas, their favorite music.

They can link to their favorite things on the web.

And they can also be a hub for a community.

A blog is a simple thing that can be turned into many things!

I think...

It seems to me that when blogs are successful in creating a community that's the number one benefit where you can share knowledge, build upon knowledge.

And, uh, just to know that other people are out there that share your interests or, uh, you learn new things!

[Are blogs going to become competitive sources of information?]

Well, I think they're a good start.

Blogs vary in terms of their quality and maybe their reliability but I think it's great that they're out there. It just adds to the global marketplace of information and provides an opportunity for smaller entities, smaller independent people who have a voice.

Sometimes it's with the major media, sometimes it's against it.

So I think it's a valuable resource."
